Our very first catch-up session of the year at Nkataso took place virtually on Zoom and even through screens, the energy was undeniable.

From the moment everyone logged in, it was clear this was not going to be an ordinary meeting. The session was vibrant, engaging, and filled with purpose. Despite being online, the children showed up focused, excited, and ready to grow.

Big Goals. Bold Mindsets.

During our virtual goal-setting workshop, the children didn’t just talk about dreams, they made powerful commitments.

They shared goals such as:

  • Becoming more confident speakers
  • Reading more books consistently
  • Developing digital and creative skills
  • Building stronger discipline and focus this year

What stood out most was their clarity and determination. Each child reflected thoughtfully and identified specific actions they will take to improve. The maturity displayed during the session was truly inspiring.

Distance did not limit engagement. Cameras were on. Hands were raised. Ideas were shared confidently.

The Drive Is Strong, Now They Need the Right Resources

While the ambition is clear, access to learning materials remains a challenge for many of our children.

To fully support their growth this year, we urgently need:

  • Updated textbooks
  • Exercise books and stationery
  • Structured personal development workbooks
  • Engaging reading materials
  • Basic teaching aids
  • Access to digital learning tools

Virtual learning makes resources even more essential. When children are properly equipped, their confidence increases, their participation improves, and their results follow.

This Year Will Be Transformational

This Zoom session reminded us that Nkataso is not just a programme, it is a movement of empowerment. These children are focused. They are intentional. They are ready to rise.

Now, they need the support to match their vision.

We are inviting partners, supporters, and community members to help us provide the resources that will empower these brilliant young minds throughout the year.

The goals have been set.

The commitment has been made.

The momentum has begun.

The future is bright at Nkataso and this virtual session was just the powerful beginning.
